The 9th of August 2016 sees the debut of what promises to be one of South Africa’s most popular daytime cross-over festivals. Emmarentia Live will bring together a host of iconic South African music acts for this one-day music experience at the picturesque Emmarentia Dam. This unique Joburg festival is open to South Africans from all walks of life and all ages, to come and relax in the sun and celebrate National Women’s Day – why not spoil your lady and make her feel special!
Make sure you come dressed in jeans because the Edgars team will be on hand to help customize your denim, while pampering will be the order of the day. Festival-goers should also head to the Savanna cider garden for chilled Savanna Dry Draught throughout the day, and enjoy a flute or two of delicious JC Le Roux.
The all-South African line-up has been confirmed and includes none other than: MANGO GROOVE, MI CASA, GANGS OF BALLET, FRESHLYGROUND, GOODLUCK and BAD PETER.
These incredible live acts will play to an audience of all ages to enjoy a wonderful party in the park, bring a picnic blanket and gear for a great day out in the Joburg winter sunshine with your friends and family. Expect a day of sunshine, kid’s area with two massive jumping castles, standing area, picnic area, umbrella area, Aces craft beer and wine garden, up to 20 craft food stalls including Halaal and vegetarian dishes, a craft beer garden and an awesome vibe for all ages – what better way to spend a public holiday!

There will be dedicated parking areas at Roosevelt High School & Mark’s Park for only R20 for any parking, but let’s not park on people’s verges or driveways. There will be Tuk-Tuks transferring people from the parking lot to festival area.
And to top it all off, we’ll have a cashless system to make it easier and quicker to get your wine, craft beer, food and soft drinks for the kids!
